Last week, the regional CEO Roundtablecoordinated by Florida's Research Coast graduated 14 CEOs from the local program.
This is the first graduating class from the program.

"We are very proud of our local CEOs that participated in this program. They devoted several hours each month over the course of the year to discuss challenges in running their business with other CEOs," explained Michael Corbit, Workforce Solutions and Florida's Research Coast.

The CEO Roundtable program was launched in December 2010 at a CEO Forum event in Port St. Lucie.  CEO Roundtables offer 12 – 16 non-competing CEOs to share challenges, experiences and problem-solving ability in a confidential environment. The roundtables are led by a facilitator from GrowFL who keeps the conversation productive and makes best use of the time.

"This local program offered an opportunity to discuss challenges that face CEOs daily in growing a business" stated Coletta Dorado, CEO of AZZLY, a Vero Beach electronic health record software firm.  "This program was beneficial in providing a format where CEOS could openly reach out for feedback- both positive and negative, and where suggestions and proven solutions were eagerly shared. Every session offered something for each participant and I appreciate the fact that this program was made available to me and other local CEOs," Dorado said.

Working in small, professionally facilitated groups, experienced second-stage CEOs help each other solve their toughest business challenges. The PeerSpectives® Roundtable System, a process developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation based on identified best practices in the field of peer learning, is the basis for this exceptionally productive program. The program was facilitated by CEO Nexus
through GrowFL.

"The most interesting value from this experience was having so many diverse business owners facing such similar business management and growth issues," explained Bill Greene, CEO of Level 3 Inspection of Stuart. "The ability to have peers with fresh perspectives to talk through issues with on a regular basis helped me learn from their experiences how to improve my own high-tech metrology business. I'm grateful to have participated with such a positive, growth focused group of CEOs," Greene said.

There are plans to continue the program and begin a second round of CEO Roundtables that would commence in early 2012. The program would be offered to a new set of local CEOs that would like to participate in this program.
