Private Sector Employers

We know times are tough and surviving this economy takes new ways of thinking. When we emerge from the recession, the businesses that survive will be stronger and more flexible. Survivors take advantage of all of the resources available to them.

WE PUT THE TREASURE COAST BACK TO WORK

Many applied to be a work site for the summer jobs program. While we couldn’t supply workers or make replacements for laid off workers, there were plenty of jobs young people from 16 through 24 were able to do at local businesses. Young people were introduced to a range of valuable work experiences in the private sector. We paid the wages and workers compensation costs. You supplied meaningful work and supervision.

Adults on public assistance must work for the benefits they receive. Businesses like yours provided valuable work experience to put on their resumes and the businesses benefited from the additional help. Again, no cost to the business, however, we also assured they are not supplanting laid off workers.

Use us for your hiring needs. List your jobs at, www.employflorida.com. It is a free recruitment tool that cuts your costs and results in pre-screening for you. You can also set up a resume scout to automatically find resumes having key skills, and it will notify you automatically when there is a match. We also have hiring incentives, information on tax incentives, and even matching dollars to train your existing employees, if they need training to retain their jobs. Everyone wins in these scenarios and it cuts your costs.

When you participate in stimulus projects, you create jobs. List your jobs at www.employflorida.com. Implement a “first source” hiring agreement with us. A “first source” hiring agreement means the employer must check with Workforce Solutions for a qualified unemployed person who might fill a job opening. If the state shaved one week of unemployment benefits off the average duration of benefits, it would save the state $120 million. So, at the minimum list your jobs at www.employflorida.com , institute first source hiring agreements, and require your subcontractors to do the same.
